Gyan
Institute of Management and Technology was
established by Gyan Charity Trust, Lucknow, in 1998 with
the sole objective of providing need based quality management
education to the young graduates with the view to enhance
their job opportunities.
The all India Council of Technical Education, Ministry
of HRD, GOvt. of India accorded its approval immediately
for their prestigious MBA Programme. Initially institute
was affiliated to Dr. RML Avadh University during the
session 1998-2000 and 1999 - 2001 but after the
establishment of UP Technical University Act, 2000, all
the self financing Institutes running Management,
Engineering programmes affiliated to any of the
Universities in Uttar Pradesh, have been transferred to
this University, hence GIMT is now, affiliated to UP
Technical University, Lucknow. |

| With a committed Governing Body and a very senior professor working as the Director to oversee its academic functionings, GIMT has made phenomenal progress and has become one of the prestigious Management Institutes in the country. |
